Luggage love + a gooie giveaway

Sugarpuff taking her navy blossom gooie trolley bag for a spinMy kids have an obsession for luggage rivaled only by Kanye West’s for himself, and can often be found packing their bags in preparation for their next imaginary trip to wherever has taken their fancy that day. But while Raffles has already managed to acquire more luggage than the average touring drag queen in his short life, my darling Sugarpuff has never had a suitcase to call her very own, until now.

When the lovely folk at gooie sent her a gorgeous navy blossom trolley bag to test drive, my excited wee girl was swooning – a Sugarpuff-size suitcase covered in pretty pink and purple flowers? Be still her beating heart! In fact, so enamoured was she that it took us several hours to get her to stop cuddling it so we could actually set about packing for our weekend away.

SUagrpuff loves her gooie suitcase

And there came the next challenge. Have you ever let your kids pack their own bag? DON’T!

Left alone while we packed our own, comparatively dull, bags we returned to find her proudly stuffing her shiny new suitcase with a samurai sword, nun-chucks, a plastic pineapple named Johnny (who travels with her wherever we go), one pair of Hello Kitty underpants, a purple tutu, a picture book, a single brick of Lego, a naked baby, a woolly mammoth, one red converse sneaker, one après ski boot, a light-up fairy wand and the Narita Bar & Dining guide. Perfect! What else could one possibly need for a weekend in Canberra? Or to re-enact Kill Bill as a prehistoric tropical Japanese ballet for that matter?

While Sugarpuff was understandably disappointed when we repacked it with mundane stuff like clothes and matching footwear, we were thrilled by just how much fit into the carry-on sized two-wheeled trolley bag. The well designed fully-lined case has a sturdy retractable handle and proved extremely easy to manoeuvre – handy given it was being driven by a three-year old!

Oh! The places she will go with her gooie trolley bag!

Now for the good news! We have two gooie trolley bags in the gorgeous new Car- MO and Woodland designs to give away.

My daughter would love the woodland suitcase and be so proud to be wheeling her very own bag around. It would be perfect for our holiday to Melbourne in a couple of weeks. And the little miss is looking over my shoulder and is telling me that it would be “sooo wonderful” for trips to Grandma & Grandpas!

My girls would love the Woodlands design: pink zips and all that! The Little Sister saw Sugar Puff’s packing efforts, she doesn’t think she’d pack the same things. She’s planning on packing boots and nothing else. With this in mind, I suggest we make the gooie’s first outing somewhere warm!

We want the camo one because the boys can share it when they go to NZ to see the outlaws on the farm and we can pretend that we love dirt, sheep shit, hunting and all those things that farmers do! Oh and also because we don’t have actually one for the poor third child who usually gets nothing but hand-me-downs!
(BTW, I love your daughter’s hair, SO CUTE)

We would actually love the woodland one for Miss 11 and the camo one for her brother. And they are totally hoping to go to either the snow or the Great Barrier Reef these holidays (they dream big, these kids). I also double-check packing these days after Mr 13 unpacked my thoughtfully-packed case, and replaced it with swimmers, toys and a pair of undies in his suitcase for a week away.

For the love of cute! My my luggage has a curly haired accessory as cute as that did, I’d wanna travel the world everyday too! Adorable! My little lady would love the woodland inspired design on the left. Her little imagination would run wild… traveling in the mind is much kinder in the wallet, no? 😉

The Woodland design is the one I adore
Ideal for my daughter Kayla, aged four
With it’s pink trim, and colourful hues
This is the one that I would choose
She’d use it on a sleepover at her beloved Nan’s
Or for many other travel plans
School camp perhaps, or a family weekend away
With this prize, she’d have a field day!!

Oh My Stars! My 18 month old little girl is going on her first ever plane trip to Sydney in July and I can tell you now – she would just adore that little girly woodland theme case!!!!
I am so excited to be travelling with her and worried about how I will manage packing all her gear. (I am dragging two young teens along as well and we all know how unhelpful they can be.) I am certain this little beauty would be a hit with the eldest girl to tow on baby’s behalf!
I have so many fingers and toes crossed for this!
(I love the tale of your little girl in your pictures too – adorable!)

I am sure he would tell you lots of fabulous places he would love to take it. All of them in his imagination of course! A trip to the loo for a little boy, can be exciting with a good imagination and a cool bag!
From a practical Mummy point of view we have a wedding we are travelling too shortly and this would be ideal for him to take along.

My youngest son Callum I am convinced is a four year old bordering on OCD with his need to pack things in bags and to have his ” own ” belongings safely stashed into a compartmental order . This would also be a side effect of second child syndrome where he has had his brothers clothes , toys , books and bags passed down to him .the car camo suitcase would get a daily workout from my little man from packing his belongings in it , to trips back and forth for sleep overs at his grandparents and most importantly his road trips with mummy and his brother !

The car-mo bag would be just right
For master 8 to pack so tight
With clothes and toys and secret things
When traveling on that thing with wings.
He’d push it here and pull it there,
I bet it holds his teddy bear.

    Mummy and Ava soon off to the Gold Coast;
    Yep, we’re excited…(I think Ava’s the most!)
    “What shall I take?”…that’s her daily question…
So a well-packed gooie is one fine suggestion!
In the woodland design, so girlie, so pretty…

We love them. My son had a Truki which was great but they’re both too big for it. The Gooie trolleys are nice and light weight and fit loads in! ANd teh kids love that they look like real luggage – only more colourful. 🙂
